Rules For Speaking At Ignite Boulder

A few simple tips / rules for speaking at Ignite Boulder.

About half of speakers are chosen (7) through an online voting process which opens up roughly a month before the event.   The rest of the spots (7) are up to the organizers (roughly one per organizer at this point).

  1. You have not spoken at the last Ignite Boulder
  2. Your topic teaches something of social value
  3. You have not told one of the organizers to fuck off in the last few months
  4. Your topic is above the belt
  5. You have shown that you are prepared for your presentations (not missed the deadlines, blown off emails)
  6. Your topic is an original presentation (you can’t repeat something you have done before)

There might be more or less, depending on venue, mood, astronomical data and taste.
